
Our Company History.
Chef and owner Sergio Salamonovitz and his wife Shauna opened Trafiq on Main Street in June 2011, after having operated a Trafiq Cafe in West Vancouver since 2006. Sergio’s former cake bakery was merged with the West Vancouver cafe concept @trafiqmain was born, a bustling cafe & bakery on Main Street. Our focus on Service & Hospitality is at the core of our values and has been an essential ingredient in our success over the years.


Our Craft
Obsession with technique
Sergio fell in love with the science of baking and was formally trained in Houston, Texas by Belgian pastry chef, Eddy Van Damme. To this day, Sergio adheres to the foundational principles of baking: that is the pairing of quality ingredients with time honed technique.
Handcrafted with care
From naturally leavened breads to delicate cakes and pastries, everything at Trafiq is made in-house by our passionate bakery team. We source the best ingredients — both locally and worldwide — to bring you handcrafted food with heart in every bite.
Our Space & Local
Trafiq Cafe & Bakery is a relaxed, spacious cafe seating 30 guests with a European flair. Daylight and fresh air pour in from the sliding windows at the front of the cafe. Our fantastic neighbourhood, Riley Park, is energizing with unique shops and a friendly village vibe.
